Dear parent / carer

I was pleased to write to you recently about Mr Dosad’s appointment as the new Principal of Marden Primary Academy (MPA). Further to that correspondence, I am now delighted to announce that we have been able to negotiate with Mr Dosad’s current employer to bring forward his start date to Monday 7th June, i.e. the start of half-term 6. This will give Mr Dosad an even better chance to get to know the school and prepare for next academic year.

Mr Dosad is already working closely with Mrs Fidock to ensure a smooth transition. From 7th June, Mrs Fidock is being promoted to a new post within Leigh Academies Trust as Principal of Paddock Wood Primary, just up the road from Marden. As she will continue to work nearby, she will be able to provide Mr Dosad with any ongoing support he needs as he gets to grips with his new role.

You may also be aware that Mrs Chown leaves MPA at the end of this academic year. We are very grateful for all of her hard work at the school and wish her well for the future and much success in her new role. We are currently advertising nationally for Mrs Chown’s replacement as Vice Principal. We are expecting a strong field of candidates and I look forward to writing to you again later this half-term with the outcome of that process.

Meanwhile, can I thank you again for all of your terrific support for the school throughout this important and necessary period of change and as we have faced the global Covid pandemic. I know how much your strong backing has mattered to all of the staff.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Beamish | Chief Executive
