We’re almost half way through Term 2 now and it’s starting to feel a bit like Christmas!

In the first week of this term, we held a fantastic Art Exhibition, showcasing children’s work. The children were very excited to see their work on display, mounted and framed, and parents were able to buy the masterpieces.

Last week the children learnt about Remembrance Day and the anniversary of the end of World War 1. They created some fantastic art and written work in memory of those who were killed or injured in The Great War.

This week, the children and staff wore odd socks to school, in exchange for 50p, to celebrate what makes us unique. This was part of Anti-Bullying Week and the funds raised will support the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

It was great to welcome so many prospective parents into our school this week. I hope that they gained a good insight into the special character of Marden Primary School. If you were unable to visit but would like to, there is a further open event on 10th January, or call the school office to arrange a tour. We would love to see you!
